An appropriate May Day wish. May Day has become the day in which workers around the world protest the conditions under which capitalism has placed them. In socialist countries it took on more of a celebratory aspect like Labor Day here in the US. But with the demise of socialism as an effective alternative to capitalism there is little to celebrate and much to protest. TGIF is a term that represents the release from bondage that wage slaves feel at the end of every work week. An appropriate May Day wish.
